1991
October 1991, the company started as Puyat Vinyl Products, Inc. after acquiring the defunct Marcelo Vinyl Products Phil. Inc. plant located at Mariveles, Bataan from the government Asset Privatization Trust. The first brand of flooring products manufactured was the “AVQT APO Vinyl Quartz Tile”
1993
In 1993, two years after its operations, Puyat Vinyl Products, Inc. (PVPI) became the leading vinyl tile manufacturer in the Philippines. Its flooring products is regarded as the best locally manufactured vinyl flooring tiles and sheets/roll form available in the market.
1997
October 1997, PVPI came out with a breakthrough in flooring adhesive, the “APO Powerbond Acrylic Flooring Adhesive”, the first and only Philippine made water-based acrylic-flooring adhesive in Southeast Asia.
1999
In 1999, PVPI introduced the APO Floor Care products in the market composed of APO Power Clean, Power Strip, Power Seal, Power Buff, and Power Shine as the ideal floor care products to maintain the quality of PVPI flooring products.
2001
Year 2001, PVPI introduced the “APO Platinum Laminated Vinyl in Planks and Tiles” flooring product in the market composed of Platinum Designer Series, Platinum Wood Selection, and Platinum MGS Selection (Marble, Granite and Stone) as part of the company’s commitment to continually improve its product lines. This means that the flooring product have a laminated printed film which gave the customer more variety of designs to choose from.
The “APO Crown Vinyl” flooring in thirteen (13) colors was also introduced to address the low-cost housing flooring market requirements. These tiles contains self-adhesive backing for easy installation.
2003
In 2003, PVPI became an ISO certified company under ISO 9001:2008 QMS (Quality Management System) which means that PVPI’s products and processes are in conformance with the international quality standard.
2004
In 2004, after receiving its ISO seal of quality, PVPI introduced the engineered wood product in the market under the brand name “APO Realwood”.
PVPI also introduced the “APROTECH” flooring, a UV-Cured Polyurethane Ceramic Finish in its APO Platinum Designer Series Laminated Vinyl Plank.
2005
September 23, 2005, the company changed its name to PUYAT FLOORING PRODUCTS, INC. to introduce engineered hardwood flooring and other types of flooring products in the market on of its PVC tile flooring products.
2006
PFPI introduced its “APO FLOORS” brand in the market.
2009
in keeping with its “APO FLOORS”brand, PFPI changed its company logo to “tile and plank” design instead of the original “mountain with a sun burst” design.
Together with its new logo, PFPI introduced the luxury resilient floors under the brand name “Mimicri” in the market, a unique flooring products which mimics the design of a wood, carpet or ceramics with its innovative use of laminated printed wear layer
2010
To meet the demand for a flooring material that retards or reduce the build-up of bacteria, PFPI developed its “APO Anti-Bac” flooring in rollform for hospital, clinics, gym and otherusers that requires antiseptic flooring materials
2013
PFPI introduced 12 new “APO Realwood” engineered flooring designs using imported flooring wood materials.
2015
PFPI introduced homogenous vinyl tiles in solid color under the brand name “Moderna”; and at the same time launched the “Mimicri Embossed” giving the real feel of wood in the resilient flooring material.
2018
This year Puyat Flooring Products, Inc. introduced innovative ancillary product lines to complement its main flooring products line with the “APO Power Primer”, and “APO Power Self Leveling Compound (SLC)”; at the time also introduced the “Mimicri Rollform” in the market. And to further update its engineered flooring products lines, PFPI also introduced six (6) new “APO Realwood” flooring designs.
The company has continued to grab hold of the lion’s share of the resilient and wood flooring market through its high quality products and services. Combined with continuous product innovation and development, PFPI has continued to be No. 1 in the resilient flooring industry in the Philippines
